Catalogue of the Oasis Museum, hall 20:
Housing in the Ksar
Inside the Ksar, the houses include:
A stable for mules and cows.
A barn for straw and alfalfa for the animals.
Stores for grain, dates, oil and other foods.
One or two kitchens.
Some rooms used as dining rooms, sitting rooms and bedrooms.
A guestroom.
The structure of the houses varies from valley to valley. In Ziz and Drâa,
the houses are large and built around a central courtyard. In Todra and Dadès, they are higher but much smaller. In Ferkla, the houses
are combination of the two aforementioned forms.
